But, more importantly, you'll need enough ES to go CI, when you already have a shield with mediocre ES, and boots with 0 ES. But that's even more expensive: Apep's Supremacy is pretty expensive on its own. Use Apep's Supremacy to convert the incoming damage from your self-bleeds to chaos, then use CI to ignore it. That adds quite a bit to the cost of the build, or a whole lot if you want the rest of the rolls on the Watcher's Eye to be good. For this, you need a Watcher's Eye, with EXACTLY 29% or 39% phys -> ele conversion and then balance out the conversion on the rest of your gear. You can get 90% without too much difficulty, but that means you're taking 10x as much damage as you would with 99% trust me, you REALLY want 99%. (The way conversion works, you still benefit from everything that affects phys damage, even post-conversion, so your scaling is still good.) Can't go 100% or you'll lose the ability to bleed, but even leaving 1% is good. There's two (maybe 3?) options here:įind a way to convert 99% of your physical damage to elemental. Of course, there's a catch: turns out, if you just slap on the biggest phys damage weapon you can find into this setup, the bleeds you'll inflict on yourself will REALLY HURT. Of course, good weapons are pretty expensive, and Red Trails aren't super cheap either early in the league (need Uul-Netols blessings for those). This lets you use ANY weapon you want: Oro's and Terminus Est are both relatively weak in the grand scheme of things, but with this, the sky is the limit. So provided that you find some random way to occasionally inflict bleeding (just enough to proc it on yourself every 5 seconds). Golden Rule is a relatively useless jewel that makes it so you cause yourself to bleed whenever you inflict a bleed on an enemy, while Red Trail is a pair of boots that give you a frenzy charge on ANY hit, as long as you are bleeding. ![]() ![]() Then, for the setup with the highest possible ceiling for investment but also highest possible returns, you have the Red Trail + Golden Rule setups. Terminus Est is the medium investment option: it has the aforementioned phys damage/crit scaling, but since it relies on the crits to sustain, it needs more investment to get going (especially if you're playing something other than Assassin and thus don't get stupid amounts of crit for free). You can also find some on the tree.ĭamage-wise, it's much rougher than something that can use phys scaling + crit scaling, but it's by no means terrible. Capping your ignite chance is waaaaay easier than capping your crit: just Oro's + Combustion Support is realistically enough that you'll average out (assuming you're using multistrike), and plenty of cheap uniques have chance to ignite too. If you're playing flicker for the first time, I think Oro's might be the better choice.
